Day 25: Racing for a flight to buy a pharmacy

It's 25 days left till demo day. And if we're going to succeed, I have to buy a pharmacy in California. But before I do that, I have to make this flight. back up. Let me show you what actually happened today. Okay, so today we started out pretty uneventfully. We were doing our daily stand up as normal. We continue to grow organically, four new customers and $3,000 more revenue since yesterday, Are you excited to go back to Austin without Daddy? No. My family flew home to Austin this morning. School starts on Monday, so it's just me out here now. I'm sad and I'm choosing not to think about it. So YC threw an event in the park today and there are hundreds of founders from the current batch. When I was in YC in 2010, there were 26 companies and I knew every person. Some are still my closest friends. Now there's 250 companies and I barely know anyone, but more companies means more experts, more help, and for us, a lot more customers. So being in YC is much more effective today. My plane is boarding at 10.02 and I just took a wrong turn. Boarding is done in 10 minutes and oh I chose the wrong terminal so I have to walk a full terminal over it. All right, we've made it two minutes before boarding. Let's go. And then something we've been working on for months finally came through. We got a call. They were ready to sign on our pharmacy. why are we trying to buy a pharmacy in California? It turns out if you want to sell drugs in the United States, the only way to do it is a pharmacy. We were able to find a partner that was willing to do it quicker and now I'm flying to San Diego last minute to close the deal. Alright, it's landed in San Diego.
